Scholarship Overview
The Carlton Davis III Family Foundation scholarship is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders. Our mission is to support local student-athletes who demonstrate a powerful combination of academic excellence, strong character, and a heart for community service. Through this award, we aim to alleviate the financial burden of higher education for those who lead by example both on and off the field.

Who We Help
This scholarship is specifically designed for graduating high school seniors within our local community. We focus on student-athletes who balance the demands of competitive sports with a commitment to their studies and community. Ideal candidates are those planning to continue their education at an accredited institution, vocational program, or technical school.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a graduating high school senior
- Be a current student athlete participating in a school-sponsored athletic program
- Maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
- Demonstrate a record of community service or meaningful community involvement
- Demonstrate good character, leadership, sportsmanship, and commitment
- Plan to continue their education after high school at an accredited college, university, community college, or vocational/technical program
Required Application Materials
A complete application must include:
- Completed online scholarship application
- Current high school transcript showing a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- One letter of recommendation from a school administrator or teacher
- Community service information, including organizations served, activities performed, and approximate service hours
- Athletic information, including sport(s), years of participation, leadership roles, honors, or accomplishments
- 500-word essay

All applications and required supporting materials must be submitted through the online scholarship portal by the deadline. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Recipient Selection & Notification: Following the November 14 application deadline. Scholarship Recognition & Award Ceremony: December 2026 — Date to Be Announced. Selected scholarship recipients will be formally recognized and presented with their awards during the Davis Family Foundation Student Athlete Recognition & Scholarship Ceremony.
